Humic acid is a mixture of natural organic macromolecular compounds, which exists in nature widely. The proportion of humic acid in the soil is the largest. Soil humic acid is a heterogeneous mixture in physical and chemical compounds. The molecular weight is polydisperse. The mixture is composed of natural, high molecular weight, yellow to black, amorphous, colloidal, fatty and aromatic organic polyelectrolytes, which cannot be represented by a single chemical formula.

Functions and characteristics

(1) The direct effect of humic acid

Promote plant growth and increase crop yields.

(2) Indirect effects

1. Physical function

A. Improve soil structure.

B. Prevention of soil cracking and erosion.

C. Increase soil water holding capacity and improve cold resistance.

D. Darken the soil, which is conducive to solar energy absorption.

2. Chemical effects

A. Adjust soil pH value.

B. Improve and optimize plant absorption of nutrients and moisture.

C. Increase soil buffer capacity.

D. Under alkaline conditions, it is a natural chelating agent (chelated with metal ions, promoted by plant absorption).

D. Under alkaline conditions, it is a natural chelating agent (chelated with metal ions, promoted by plant absorption).

F. Improve the solubility of organic fertilizers and reduce fertilizer loss.

G. Transform the nutrient into a state that is easily absorbed by the plant.

H. It can enhance the absorption of nitrogen by plants and reduce the fixation of phosphorus, store elements, such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, etc. into the soil deeply. in addition, it can also accelerate the process of entry of nutrient elements into plants and improve the application effect of inorganic fertilizers. Therefore, humic acid is a "reserve warehouse" of plant nutrients and physiological active substances.

3. Biological effects

A. Stimulate the growth and propagation of beneficial microorganisms in the soil.

B. Improve the plant natural resistance to diseases and insect pests.
